Kathleen E. Walters
A native of Monmouth County, New Jersey, and has lived in the Poconos since 2010, Kathleen has been practicing law as an attorney with Higgins & Walters LLC since 2011. She concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law, civil litigation and wills and estates, in both state and federal courts. Recently, Kathleen obtained a substantial settlement for her client following litigation of an auto accident case in the amount of $600,000.

Kathleen received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in French from Rutgers University in 2002. She graduated from New York Law School where she received her Juris Doctorate in May 2009. As a student at NYLS, Kathleen was a member of the Moot Court Association.

Prior to practicing with Higgins& Walters LLC Law Office, Kathleen worked in New Jersey state government for State Senator Raymond J. Lesniak of the 20th Legislative District in Union, NJ, and also for Governors Richard J. Codey and Jon S. Corzine. Today, Kathleen is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey state bars, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and has a pending application to the New York state bar. Additionally, she is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, serving as Treasurer for 2013. She was also proud to be recognized as a noteworthy female attorney in the June 2015 issue of Happenings Magazine.?


C. Daniel Higgins, Jr.
Mr. Higgins is of counsel to the firm as he currently serves full time as a Magisterial District Judge for District Court 43-3-02. He is only available for legal consultations during evening hours and weekend hours upon appointment. He concentrates his practice in matters concerning real estate law, worker's compensation law, and wills and estates matters.

He is a graduate of Villanova University, receiving a Bachelor's of Science Degree in 1989, and later receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the District of Columbia. Mr. Higgins is licensed to practice in both the state and federal courts since 1996.
